This course deals with the application of climatological knowledge to ensure success in the respective areas of development. It treats climate applications in the agricultural sector (agro-climatology), health and human comfort (bioclimatology), water sector (hydro-climatology) among others. The course equips students with the available skills and techniques which are used to apply climatological knowledge for planning in terms of agriculture, water resources, health, infrastructure and other developmental spheres. Climate vulnerability (exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity) is also treated.
