First Semester
This course provides a foundational understanding of the Earth's atmosphere, its phenomena, and long-term patterns. It begins with the physical principles governing meteorological processes and atmospheric circulation. It then transitions to climatology, examining climate controls, classification, and regional climates with a special focus on Cameroon. The course concludes by addressing the sources, transport, and impacts of atmospheric pollution, including the role of aerosols and significant climate oscillations like El Niño.
